Dead Space 2 Activation Limit
Well, Microsoft and their convoluted licensing format strikes me again. We have user, with a Office 2013 Home and Business retail license(box one). He had a Vaio Ultrabook in which this license was fist activated. We formated this Ultrabook one time.
Then, the motherboard went haywire and since the device was out of warranty he bought a new Ultrabook, this time from ASUS. The Windows and Office License was then transferred from one equipment to another. Since that transfer this Ultrabook was formated more 2 times(3 activations in total). Now, the Office key won't activate and MS support informed us over phone call they can't help us, that we should call our MS specialist. Is there a hardcoded limit for activations in this licenses? I didn't find any in the EULA, neither on TechNet talking about this.
Step Select the file and click on the 'Open' button. Convert qif ofx file. Step Map the fields by selecting the correct date, category, amount, memo, credit and debit columns. Step Click on the 'Save as OFX' button to save the file to your desktop.
The Windows license is fine, activated successfully, but the Office 2013 we're stuck with this. Since the license is a retail box, there is no channel associated, like OPEN program.
Hey Chris (Microsoft), we had to wait the user come back. We called MS back, quoted the EULA, specified both the discontinued Sony ultrabook and the current Asus he is using, how many times we formated each one(thus ho many times we reactivated the Office license). They still refused to reactivate, under the justification our Key was on some kind of 'blacklist'. They didn't provide any further data on why that was, how and etc. This 'blacklist' is not mentioned in the EULA, neither we shared this key with any other equipment.
I'm really outraged how MS is doing this shady business, not even providing information regarding our own licenses legally bought and used. We had 3 MS audits in the last 4 years, all of them with ZERO incidents. We contacted our MS partner/provider and after a lot of conflict and even them couldn't get any solid feedback from MS, they provided another license for us. To make something clear, I'm the manager of this team on a IT service provider.
We bought this Office license from a 'MS Gold' partner called SND. We then sold the retail box to our customer, the company who's user had this problem. We also provide support for their IT Infrastructure. LFCavalcanti wrote: Hi! Thanks Chris (Microsoft)! Since we activated all in these very two Ultrabooks, what's the issue? I mean, we own the license, we should be able to format/reinstall the SO as much as we need and activate the Office 2013 license we have. I agree, I don't understand why they are telling you otherwise.! I would call back and explain your situation to another rep. Maybe the one you got was having a bad day.

We already called 3 times, with 3 different MS rep. My question is, is there any specific restriction on how many times a license can be activated?
Is it present on the EULA? If so, can someone point me to which clause? Hey Chris (Microsoft), we had to wait the user come back.
