Modern Warfare 2 Pc Multiplayer
What is the common sense issue? I'm really lost here. Three platforms, same game, running on 3 (essentially) computers. I don't understand why they couldn't sync online. Mac and PC versions of games play online together fine.

I don't understand why Consoles, which are just little computers, couldn't do the same. Sorry if I'm being dense.
But I really don't understand. People seem more inclined to flame me that to just explain the 'Common Sense' Issue. I'm obviously admitting to 'not getting it'. Im pretty sure it has nothing to do with game coding at all.
All of the systems work on independent online servers so it would be impossible to play someone with a ps3 when you have a 360. If you could play everyone then there would be no need for seperate systems and everyone would own one super console that everyone else would have. Fortunately though, there are different consoles, exclusives, and restrictions for each system which ultimately lead to heated arguments. After all, we do live in America and I would rather have the choice of picking exactly which system I want and caters to my needs as a gamer.
